"…defiantly eclectic and organic.” - Anchorage Daily News
"Pulse has a maturity and sexiness that other local dance companies lack." -Lorelei Costa, Arts
America
Having brought its second season to an exuberant close last January
at the Alaska Center for the Performing Arts, Pulse Dance Company proudly jets into its third season.
PDC's repertoire is widely varied in its composition, stylistic approach to movement, and scenography.
The company has been acknowledged for its intensely collaborative method of creation - having most recently released
their dance-on-film project, "Inner Motion," - and has become Alaska's source for modern dance. Pulse has enjoyed performing at Tedx Anchorage, for Alyeska Pipeline,
as contributing artists to Renegade Living, and as special guest artists. Members of the company can be found instructing
varying classes from Anchorage to Eagle River, and workshops and intensives are offered in the spring and summer.
Pulse has been featured in several publications including the Anchorage Press, F Zine, Arts America, The
Northern Light, and praised by the Anchorage Daily News.
The company's mission
is to nurture the art of dance, provide outlets within the community for the creation and performance of dance, and to collaborate
with artists of varying art forms.
Pulse boasts a distinct voice that is
ever-evolving based on forward thought, adventurous artistic vision, innovation and excellence.
